One of our volunteers helping a student taste his homemade salsa!

  1. It's such an easy recipe and only takes a couple of minutes to make. It is so much better than a jar of salsa filled with preservatives and too much sodium.

    Here's the recipe:
    2 plum tomatoes, chopped
    2 TBS cilantro, chopped
    1/4 cup red onion, chopped
    Juice from 1/2 lime
    salt & pepper to taste
    minced jalepeno to taste (optional)

Stir and let set for a half an hour to let the flavors develop. If you like your salsa more "soupy", pulse this once or twice in the food processor.

The kids LOVED it! You will too. Try it with your family.
